Doni R. Feinberg is a Member of Maitlin, Maitlin, Goodgold, Brass & Bennett. She practices in the areas of Family Law, Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Trusts & Estates, including Estate Litigation, and Corporate Law with a focus on start-ups and charitable organizations.
Doni brings her diverse legal and business experience to our Firm, with her niche in handling sensitive family issues involving property matters during the difficult times of death, divorce, and other life changing circumstances. Invested personally in every client matter, Doni is sensitive to client needs and handles highly emotional situations with compassion and balance.
Doni began her legal career in the real estate department at Camhy, Karlinsky & Stein LLP (now Greenberg Traurig LLP) before joining Time Equities Inc., where she represented various clients in the leasing, acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential properties. She also was involved in a number of redevelopment projects in New York, including cooperative conversions and commercial, retail and multi-use projects.
Doni then served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Martin Schoenfeld in the New York County Supreme Court, Family Part.
She then moved to the Simon Property Group as a leasing executive where she managed and leased a real estate portfolio of 30 shopping centers throughout the U.S. In that capacity, she honed her negotiating skills in lease transactions, working with more than 200 retail accounts.
That work led to her co-founding the Fashion Retail Group at Staubach Real Estate Services, in which she represented landlords and tenants in the leasing, acquisition and disposition of fashion retail space in New York and across the country.
After that Doni moved on to Ziegler & Zemsky LLC, where she represented high net worth clients in real estate matters in conjunction with the firm’s family law practice.
After leaving Ziegler & Zemsky, Doni established the Landy Law Group and later joined Spector Foerst & Associates where her practice encompassed Family Law, Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Trusts & Estates including Estate Litigation and Corporate Law with expertise in start-ups and charitable organizations.
Doni graduated from New York University in 1995 and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1998. She grew up in West Orange and now lives in Livingston with her family. Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, tennis and travel. She also writes and speaks on a myriad of legal topics.
